Psalm 7: 11-17

God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready. He also prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts. Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it out, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown. I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

This passage is a continuation of David talking about how God deals with Sin and Sinners. The key verse is basically that you will reap what you sow. If you sow wickedness that is what you will receive. It also talks of how God's punishment will be like using weapons of death---sword, bow, arrows. David ends this psalm with praises for God.

This reminds me of the many times that I felt that God was sending 'fiery arrows' towards me. In these times I always ask 'Why Me?' Are these trials just to teach me a lesson or is it because I am wicked. I need to remember that what I do will come back to me. If I am kind, I will get kindness in return, but if I am mean that is what will come back. Reap what you sow.
