Psalm 7: 1-1-5

O Lord my God in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; and deliver me Lest they tear me like a lion rending me in pieces while there is none to deliver. O Lord my God, if I have done this: If there is iniquity in my hands, If I have repaid evil to him who was at peace with me, Or have plundered my enemy with out cause, Let the enemy pursue me and overtake mel Yes, let him trample my life to the earth and lay my honor in the dust.

In this passage David is trying to flee from King Saul and his other enemies. David is asking God to save him from those who wanted him dead. He was accused of doing something evil and he is willing to take God's punishment if it is so. His good heart and name were more important than being King.

I have these same feelings at times. Those that persecute me and talk about me behind my back, those that choose to do harm to my reputation....I want them to be held accountable for it. However, that is not my place. It is God's place. I have to let it go. I have to trust that God will answer my prayers in His time. That I will be delivered from the persecution. I pray that if I have done harm to others that I may be forgiven for it. My honor is important to me as well.
