Psalm 6:1-5
O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure, Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak. O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O Lord---how long? Return, O Lord, deliver me! Oh save me for Your mercies sake! For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?
These verses again are written by David. He is ill and thinks God has turned away from him. He is asking God to heal him and not let him die. This could be physical or it could be spiritual. Death was a dark place. Perhaps David was depressed.
This passage is relating David to other humans. We all have suffering whether it is a physical pain or spiritual pain. David bore a lot for Israel. We should call out to God when we are feeling weak--- BUT not only then. We should call on God everyday continuously without ceasing. The world is a hard place but God can help us through the hardships. We just have to ask.
